I first came across Aidan on fools day 1997 at
Union Chapel where he did a gig with David Oladunni on percussion and
a guy called Quiller on keyboards. Aidan himself was on acoustic guitar and
vocals and I was intrigued by what I heard. Being a serious Reggae fan I
loved the skanking guitar and dub/roots feel. Since then I have seen Aidan
perform at least half a dozen times, but always solo. He very rarely covers
other people's material (I seem to recall a version of "Summertime") but
has plenty of his own songs and poems to work with.
