XHTML 1.0 is a reformulation of HTML 4 in XML 1.0 and was released as a recommendation by W3C way back in January 2000. My primary website is actually XHTML Basic 1.1 which is a July 2007 W3C candidate recommendation. There is one minor problem - despite having had over seven years to work on it, Microsoft have still not endowed Internet Explorer with the ability to handle XHTML! So if you want to view my website you will need to switch use a standards complient browser. Check out Internet Explorer is dangerous for other reasons to switch.
